5 Reasons to do a First Look
What is a first look? First looks are a new modern tradition where you get to see your fiance before the ceremony. Getting to see one other in the amazing white dress and the spiffy black tuxedo is a memorable experience, one that might be more enjoyable spent alone. Of course traditions stand, but here are a few reasons why we love first looks!
Calm the Nerves!
Seeing each other for the first time one on one makes it less nerve-racking than seeing each other in front of all your family and wedding guests. It takes the pressure off seeing each other in front of so many people. When it’s just the two of you, all you have to focus on is each other, which is what your wedding day is all about. Plus it makes for an amazing photo and video set.
Privacy
First looks are a great way to see one another before the ceremony in private. There’s nothing like being nervous in front of 100+ people. Do yourself a favor and see one another for the first time in privacy. It lets you take a moment with just the two of you, to connect and share some wonderful memories on your wedding day.
More Time for Photos!
You’ll get some great photos from a first look but you’ll get more great photos after it! When doing a first look it allows your photographer to take your bride and groom photos, wedding party photos and family photos before your ceremony. This means you get to go to cocktail hour after the ceremony to say hello to everyone who just witnessed your marry your best friend.
Relaxed on your Wedding Day
After doing a first look, your wedding jitters will be gone! The ceremony and reception will be smooth sailing since you’ll have nothing to worry about because you already got to see that special someone.
